Keratosis Pilaris

Keratosis pilaris is a common skin condition that appears as tiny bumps on the skin that resemble goosebumps or the skin of a plucked chicken. These bumps are often mistaken for small pimples, and are caused when hair follicles become clogged with dead skin cells and keratin, a skin protein. Symptoms are generally well-managed with lotions or creams containing exfoliating ingredients such as urea, alpha-hydroxy acids or salicylic acid.
