Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition, more commonly called dandruff, that causes skin to appear pink and greasy with overlying white or yellowish flaking. In babies, seborrheic dermatitis often appears on the head and is also known as cradle cap. In adults, this condition most commonly appears as dandruff of the scalp but can also frequently affect the eyebrows, ears, and grooves of the nose. This skin condition can clear for long periods of time, however, stress and changes in weather are among the main triggers for flare-ups.
