This skin condition causes the skin to lose its natural color and turn white

Vitiligo is a skin condition in which the pigment-producing cells of the skin are affected. Small patches of pink to white skin usually appear before larger areas of skin lose their pigment. Some people develop a few patches, while others lose much more skin color. Vitiligo can affect hair and eye color as well. It is very important to protect these areas from sun exposure as they are very prone to burning and sun damage.
